Our award winning Competition Civics team perfectly exemplifies our determination to succeed.  Our team has been undefeated in California for many of the previous  years.  Recently we won the California State Championship, and we are headed for the National Championship in Washington D.C.  
Also, our AP US History classes have set an impressive record with an 80% or higher passing rate.  In addition to our  AP History class, our regular US history classes have a special program called Ellis Island.  Where all juniors dress up and pretend to be immigrants with different backgrounds and attempt to enter the United States.  This whole day activity gives kids a better understanding for the struggle that immigrants faced.
