Where can you see stunning cheerleaders, guys dressed up in hula skirts, potato sack races, and teachers playing tug of war? Only at Amador Valley rallies! Rallies last for only one hour, but are packed with activities, competitions, and fun. Whether held outdoors on the football field, or in the large, and recently renovated, gym, rallies are a sure bet to get Amador spirit flowing.

Rally commissioners spend months planning entertaining activities. For example, at our last ABC rally we had a dunk contest where basketball players came from all over California to see who could be Dunk Contest Champion. Every rally also has teacher competitions where our favorite teachers battle it out on the playing field, competing in everything from three-legged races to whip cream fights.

The best part about the rallies (besides getter shorter class periods) is that the students get to show their class spirit by competing in class competitions. This is where Amador spirit really shines – nothing shows spirit better than upwards of a thousand students blaring their lungs out. Heart, Mind, and Body are all fine and good, but it’s the Soul that gives it meaning.
