Hello
everyone! I am going to try to make this page a status
page for the current position of our vehicle.
Currently
Manta Ray is fully sealed and wired. We are commencing
drive tests as you have seen in our picture archives. As
of yesterday the first PID test of the vehicle was successful.
However short-lived. We found that we need to map our
engine power curves into our drivers as well as compensate
for the difference in foreword and reverse thrust.
Additionally we are only capable of testing our heading as
one of the vertical thrusters died and our pressure sensor
failed to return any data. None the less it is progress
and we will continue to update you on how we are doing!

just did a complete test of Manta Ray last night and it
works!! We are now already farther than we were last year

"As you can see, the website has finally been updated. We hope to keep this site more up to date than last year's, so be sure to come back for news, pictures, and a schedule that should actually reflect what we're working on. The new sub is currently in the design phases, but we expect to be construction fairly soon. Come back in a few days and maybe we'll have some pictures of what we have in the works."
